A radio-controlled car club needs land to race off-road buggies.
Lawford Buggy Club, the only club of its kind in the area, is looking for a site about half the size of a football pitch.
Parking for up to 20 cars is needed as the buggies have to be charged from car batteries.
Racing would be held every Sunday from April to October, and the track markers lengths of wood and hose pipe would need to be in place for the whole season.
Sally Brotherton, of the buggy club, explained: "No lasting damage would be done to the land, as any structures used are strictly non-permanent, including our rostrum which is a scaffolding tower."
She said the club is willing to pay a small rent, if required, for suitable land.
