An investigation is under way and a Royal Mail worker has been suspended amid complaints about post not arriving at a Witham home.
Spencer Dyer and Pauline Gough noticed the flow of mail to their address had become less regular since the end of February.
And when Spencer's daughter Jessy celebrated her 12th birthday on April 3, several birthday cards and presents did not arrive, they said.
Miss Gough, 35, said: "At the end of March we made our first complaint and they said they'd look in to it.
"On April 3 it was Jessy's birthday and things that had been definitely sent to us by family members in Ipswich didn't arrive.
A spokesman for Royal Mail said: "An investigation is continuing in to allegations of delayed mail and a member of staff has been suspended.
"Until the investigation is complete we cannot comment further."
