Great Wakering Rovers end their Ryman League Division One North season with an attractive home game with promoted Hornchurch tomorrow.
The big-spending Urchins will be keen to win the game as, if top dogs Northwood get beaten at third-placed Hemel Hempstead, they would make the rise to the Premier as champions.
They might not find their task that simple. Rovers have enjoyed a solid first season at this level and have enjoyed some of their better results against top sides.
The game will be preceded by the presentation of the supporters' player of the year trophy.
A good all-round season for the village club will be capped on Monday by Wakering's Reserve side battling for the Essex and Herts Border Combination's League Cup.
They host Purfleet (3pm) in the final and it has been an exceptional season for the club's young second team under the managership of Dean Wells.
