Members of the Fifth Canvey Cub Pack stuffed 20 shoeboxes full of presents including sweets, cards and a cuddly toy, to be sent to servicemen in the Middle East.
They were rewarded with a visit from Warrant Officer Paul Billings and Lance Corporal Phil McCourt of 124 Petroleum Squadron, Royal Logistics Core, of the Territorial Army.
The reservists went along to the Catholic Church hall, Long Road, to collect the gifts and show the youngsters some of the equipment soldiers have been using in the field including a tent and a number of different uniforms.
