Canvey hope to cap another very successful season by collecting some more silverware on Monday.
But before they take on Division One North Yeading at Hornchurch for the Bryco Cup, Gulls will bid to bring their Ryman Premier campaign to a winning end tomorrow with victory at Kingston-ian.
Despite there being plenty of happy memories to look back on, the 2002/03 season has ultimately been a frustrating campaign on the league front for the third year running.
Jeff King's men have been forced to be second best by finishing runners-up for a third successive year.
"It's no use us feeling sorry for ourselves," said Gulls' Glenn Pennyfather. "As a coach you never want seasons to end, but I want this one to finish so we can start getting prepared for the next one.
"Last summer we did, for one reason or another, make major changes on the playing front and it took time for us to settle down and we took only 11 points from the first 30 on offer," the coach added.
"Ultimately that was what cost us on the league front where we lost out to Aldershot. Certainly there will be nothing like the same amount of changes this time."
