Youngsters have set up their own environmental group to investigate green issues and examine how they can improve their school.
Year four pupils at Holy Family Catholic Primary School, in Kents Hill Road, Benfleet, have called their group the Nature Trust Club. Members of the club now have the benefit of eight purpose-designed recycling bins donated by fuel company BP.
The club is also in the process of setting up its own website, which is being sponsored by BP.
