The countdown is underway for the 2003 Ridley's Great Baddow charity races on May 18.
The popular race, which starts from Great Baddow recreation ground at 11am, includes the 10-mile road race for serious competitors as well as a two-mile fun run.
This year's main sponsor is the Chelmsford-based Essex Brewer Ridley's and benefiting charities are CHARMS, which helps multiple sclerosis victims; Little Haven Children's Hospice; Hargrave House League of Friends and the Thomas Clark Appeal, the Essex Chronicle's 2003 charity for teenage cancer sufferers.
Entries are accepted on race day until a maximum number of 2,000 runners is reached.
