The first Festival Radio serving Manningtree, Mistley and Lawford has been given the go ahead.
The 14-day service, backed by Manningtree and District Business Chamber, has been approved by the Radio Authority and will run alongside the fifth Manningtree Festival, which features folk, jazz, dance and storytelling.
"Now we've got approval, we're looking for people to help produce and present radio programmes each day," said organiser Barry Herd.
"We're looking for people who can be enthusiastic and professional, covering a whole range of music and arts."
Festival Radio programmes will run from 6am to 8pm each day from June 2 to 15 and the service is looking for presenters, technical operators, reporters as well as guests who may be interviewed on a variety of subjects.
