The winners of this season's Hadleigh Carport Southend Borough Combination Cater Cup will be known in the next 36 hours.
Novar ED&S from Division Seven, met Sixth Division Battlesbridge 4th in the final at Eastwoodbury Lane last night.
But despite confirming that the 90 minutes of action had been completed, Combination secretary Tina Smith was unable to say who had won the prized trophy.

"All I can say at this stage is that the winners will be announced by the league management committee in the next 36 hours," she said.
"The game was completed, but I'm not at liberty to reveal the result. I do not expect the final to have to be replayed."
The controversy is embarrassing for the Combination near the start of their cup final season as last night's affair was only the second of their knockout competitions due to be settled.
