Although the typical British rainy weather has returned for this week's back to school, youngsters in south-east Essex enjoyed sunshine all the way at soccer schools during their Easter break.
Both West Ham in the Community and Arsenal scout Bob Woolf's grassroots football academy had hundreds of youngsters learning the game under the supervision of FA qualified coaches.
As usual, there was a fair sprinkling of soccer-mad kids who had won their places through competitions held in The Evening Echo.

West Ham had their usual course last week at the superb facilies of Laindon's James Hornsby School in Hornsby Road.
The grassroots academy opened its doors at Willows School, Church Road, Basildon, and the Fairways School in Leigh.
