West Ham United are checking out the form of Fulham goalkeeper Maik Taylor with a view to bringing the Northern Ireland international to Upton Park.
Hammers' scouts have been keeping tabs on the Cottagers in recent weeks and their 31-year-old keeper is believed to be the man who has caught the eye.
And Taylor himself has hinted that he wants to move away from west London, where he is under contract until 2005, to ensure first team football once Edwin van der Sar returns to full fitness.
"I am an international keeper and I have made it plain to the club that I don't want to stay unless I can be number one," he said.
"But I will not be leaving just for the sake of it -- I wouldn't go to any old club. We will have to see what Edwin does in the summer."
Taylor, 26 times a Northern Ireland international, has been a regular for Fulham since first choice stopper van der Sar picked up a knock before Christmas.
