Heybridge Swifts' hopes of surviving the drop from the Ryman League premier division have been given a massive boost.
Boreham Wood were defeated by Aylesbury United, ensuring that Boreham stay just one place and one point above Heybridge.
A win for Heybridge at home against Bedford Town at Scraley Road would lift the Swifts out of the relegation zone and see them leapfrog Boreham.
It places their fate back in their own hands.
"I didn't want to be having to wait to hear on other results," said Heybridge boss Dave Greene.
"I want to be able to go out there and know we've got to get a result in the last game and be safe."
