Residents are being urged to contact South Woodham Ferrers Town Council with car parking problems to help resolve the town's traffic issues.
Recent data of parking violations from Chelmsford Borough Council revealed a few problem areas in the town that councillors want to deal with.
Bob Elson, environment committee vice-chairman, said: "We hope that this move will reduce the amount of inconsiderate and illegal parking."
The borough council took responsibility for parking enforcement last October. Parking attendants made 279 visits to South Woodham Ferrers between then and March 24. This has revealed illegal parking hotspots.
"They are mostly around the station area and in Inchbonnie Road," said Mr Elson.
