Police have renewed their appeal for witnesses who may have seen a thug wielding a wheel brace.
The man threatened to stab another man at the Costcutter petrol station, in Small Gains Avenue, Canvey, when the unnamed victim was filling up his van.
A man, driving a black Vauxhall Carlton, stopped nearby and verbally insulted the victim and vowed he was going to stab him. The thug then waved a wheel brace before jumping back into his car and driving away.
Jason Sculthorpe, a crime reduction officer, said the offender was clearly "a dangerous man" and one who needed to be found quickly.
People with information about the incident, at 6.30pm on April 8, should call police on 01268 511212.
