Billericay Town's late-season revival could spell danger for Essex rivals Grays Athletic when the two clash in the Ryman Premier.
After a ten-match run without a victory, Gary Calder's New Lodge side have won three in a row with the makeshift side they've been left with following the departure of six established stars due to cash cuts.
It's now crunch time for Grays as they go into the last week of the season still not safe from relegation.
Such a prospect seemed ridiculous during the summer as they signed numerous "name" players, but they've never really known what their best starting 11 is and that's led to inconsistency.
Mark Stimson's side are five points clear of fourth-from-botton Boreham Wood, but have played a game more.
"Our fate is in our own hands and we have shown in the past that we can respond to pressure," said Stimson.
