A host of new seafront facilities have been opened as part of a regeneration scheme.
Harwich Haven Authority has completed a major project on Ha'penny Pier in Harwich.
The new facilities include showers and toilets for visiting yachtsmen, a sales area for fresh fish and a cafe on the pier.
All the work is part of the authority's ongoing re-generation of Harwich Quay, in partnership with Tendring Council, the Harwich Partnership and the East of England Development Agency.
The construction of the new amenities follows on from the refurbishment of Ha'penny Pier and the provision of yacht mooring pontoons next to the pier.
A future project in conjunction with the Haven Gateway Partnership will be the development of a year-round harbour ferry service.
