Chelmsford's Race for Life is just 10 weeks away and training sessions are being launched to help women, including complete beginners, to prepare for the event.
Thousands of women are expected to take part in the race, in aid of Cancer Research UK, in Hylands Park in Chelmsford on Sunday, June 29.
The women only event is one of a series of races held around the country.
An eight-week training programme, suitable for all ages and all fitness levels, has been arranged in the lead up to the Chelmsford event.
The training sessions offer women the chance of making friends, getting fit and benefiting from some expert advice from athletic officials.
The sessions will take place at the Melbourne Park Athletic Centre, on Wednesday evenings from 7pm to 8pm starting on April 30.
The cost is £1 per session. More details can be obtained by calling Beth Harris on 01245 263649.
