Doggetts fishery in Rochford has rewarded anglers who fish big baits and heavy ground bait.
Tench to five pounds and bream to seven pounds were plentiful, while the carp were also putting in regular appearances.
Alan Slade and Fred Foyle both landed 16lb specimens at their local lake, with Slade also bagging six good tench.
Eastwood's Steven Rose took a trio of double-figure carp and plenty of tench from a night on the north bank.
Bob Gibson only had time for a short session but he made the most of it with tench, big bream and a 12lb common.
And Westcliff junior Martin Phillips took two mirrors from the margins on trout pellets in his day session.
