A retired Witham dentist was disqualified from driving for two years after police found him intoxicated behind the wheel of his Rolls Royce.
Nils Folbirk, 56, of Bakers Mead, Great Waltham, gave a positive breath test when he was stopped by Chelmsford police in nearby Pleshey Road on the afternoon of April 10.
After pleading guilty to drink-driving at Chelmsford Magistrates Court last Thursday, Folbirk was banned from holding a licence for two years and fined £325 with £55 costs.
The court heard that Folbirk was first caught drink-driving 11 years ago and banned for 12 months.
He was told by the magistrates that if he went on a drink-drivers' rehabilitation course, the new sentence could be shortened to 18 months.
