A Clacton junior school has become the first primary in Essex to provide a new milk facility for their 440-pupils.
The milk bar has been put in by farmer-owned dairy business First Milk and school caterers Scolarest.
The aim is to provide youngsters with a healthier alternative to soft drinks and it is proving a huge hit, with 200 drinks being served a day.
Headteacher Steve Morgan said: "The children are encouraged to be more independent when choosing their food selection and this is an opportunity for them to balance their diet," he said.
The bar offers a variety of milkshakes all served from a chilled dispenser decorated with Scolarest's own team of fun dinosaurs who help children learn about healthy eating.
