A pensioner has threatened to dump her rubbish on Clacton Town Hall steps and suffer the consequences if she does not get her supply of bin bags.
Faye Douglas-Smith, who has lived in the town for 40 years, said she missed out on a delivery of bags and when she contacted waste collection company Onyx, she was told they would not supply her with any more.
Mrs Douglas-Smith, of Church Road, then called Tendring Council and was equally not happy with the reply she received there, especially when she was told rubbish would only be collected if it was packed into Onyx bags.
"In the end, I threatened to dump the whole lot on the steps of Clacton Town Hall for them to clear up themselves," she said.
"I told them that, if necessary, I was prepared to go to court over this as I feel that strongly about the issue."
A spokesman for Tendring Council said the council had spoken to Onyx and asked if a quantity of bags could be delivered to Mrs Douglas-Smith when workers were passing.
The bags were finally delivered just after 3pm yesterday.
