Five projects could get the green light next week when councillors hand over cash from public funds.
Braintree District Council's Witham Area Committee is expected to agree to helps towards five schemes ready to be launched in Witham, Feering, Kelvedon and Terling.
Terling Swimming Club wants £3,295, half the cost of renewing the hard area around the village open air swimming pool; Witham Dramatic Club is hoping for £2,000 towards the cost of improving its show lighting system; Feering Parish Council wants £3,000 towards the £21,536 cost of a skatepark; Kelvedon Festival is hoping for £1,000, a quarter of the cost of a one-day music and arts festival to showcase local talent and make arts accessible to all, and the Templars Doorstep Green project would like £500 to help with publicity and administration.
The area committee will meet in Silver End Village Hall next Tuesday at 8.15pm. Public are welcome.
