Maths has taken on a new twist at a Canvey school where a sculpture garden is being created based on a spiral design.
Plans - Lisa Hawker and friends start work on the project Picture: MAXINE CLARKE
Bricklayers led by Vernon Cocks, of LC Construction, volunteered to construct eight brick piers to launch the structure outside William Read School, Long Road, Canvey.
Children aged four to 11 from the school will be involved in developing the maths sculpture garden which was designed by local artist Lisa Hawker as part of a project to show that maths is fun.
Lisa was on hand to reveal her plans.
