A packed guide of information on Chelmsford for parents of young children has been published by the Chelmsford and District branch of the NCT, National Childbirth Trust.
Costing only £2 Chelmsford for Children, a survival guide for parents of under fives, is full of information with eight different sections covering everything from organised activities to places to eat.
All the information has been researched and provided by members of the NCT and covers an area that includes towns and villages from South Woodham Ferrers to Braintree.
Essex County Council have provided a grant to produce a simplified version to help carers and parents with learning difficulties and to translate it into several languages for distribution through relevant health areas.
Any profits from sales of the book will be used by the NCT to support parents during pregnancy, birth and early childhood.
Copies can be purchased from Formative Fun, Ottakars Book Shop, several Co-op food stores, Marsh Farm and the Tourist Information Office in Market Road.
