She said: "Debbie has recently had breast cancer and Paul has fought off testicular cancer while myself and Sheila have had friends and relatives affected by cancer."
The walk through central London begins at midnight and finishes in the early hours of Sunday, May 11.
So far they group has raised £100 but they hope to have £1,000 by the start of the walk which will be doubled thanks to Marks and Spencer promising to match pound for pound the final total.
To make a donation to the group, contact the food department in Marks and Spencer, Basildon.
