Tommy Miller admitted being 'gutted and totally shell-shocked' after Ipswich Town's dramatic 2-1 defeat at Rotherham.
Two goals in the last five minutes put a huge dent in the Blues' play-off dream, leaving them five points adrift of sixth-placed Nottingham Forest.
To finish in the top six, they need to win their last two games against Wimbledon and Derby and hope the Midlanders lose theirs against Millwall and Rotherham.
And Miller told the Evening Gazette: "I just can't believe we lost because we were absolutely cruising in the first half.
"It was so comfortable and, even though they pegged us back a bit after that, I didn't think they put us under too much pressure.
"Andy (Marshall) made two great saves but other than that we were dealing with their long balls forward. Then came the goals."
Pablo Counago put Ipswich in front with a rare headed goal but conceded it would be 'very difficult' for his side to edge into the top six.
"While we've got a chance we'll keep dreaming but we know how difficult it's going to be," said the Spaniard.
