Shocked motorist Elaine Miklewicz rubbed her eyes in disbelief when she pranged her car.
For the other driver was the same woman who crashed into her at exactly the same place at the same time of day almost a year ago to the day.
Elaine, a 46-year-old college lecturer, said: "It was so bizarre. I could not believe what was happening.
"The woman just looked at me in surprise. There was very little conversation between us."
She added: "The latest crash was not too bad. Only my bumper was dented.
"Not like the time before when I suffered a whiplash injury."
The drivers had their amazing deja vu collision at 8am on a busy slip road on the A13, which leads to the Orsett Cock roundabout.
Elaine, of Herd Lane, Corringham, had only just received her £2,500 insurance compensation when the second accident happened.
She said: "I have had to put in for another claim."
