A cancer charity has thanked the people of Basildon for their help raising money for care nurses to look after the terminally ill.
Marie Curie Cancer Care Nurses collected more than £1,477 from the town's residents during the recent Daffodil Campaign which raised £38,000 in total throughout south Essex and Hertfordshire.
The charity distributed fabric daffodils to Basildon shops, schools and businesses for sale in February and March.
