A convicted murderer on the run has been captured in Clacton.
Police arrested the man following an incident allegedly involving a knife.
Officers went to Mendlesham Close, Clacton, on Saturday evening where the man was found.
A police spokesman said the man had been convicted for murder and was on the run from an open prison in Lincolnshire.
He was due to be sent to Chelmsford Prison.
No-one was injured during the incident.
