A pensioner is in a stable condition in hospital after she was injured in an accident at a supermarket car park.
The 79-year-old woman was getting into a car at the Co-op Fiveways store in Bardfield Road, West Mersea, when the vehicle started to move.
The woman received serious leg injuries in the accident and has been detained in hospital.
