A maths sculpture garden equals fun, challenge and learning for pupils at a Canvey school.
They are developing it in the grounds of William Read School, Long Road, Canvey, thanks to an innovation by their maths and project teachers, Dave Bridge and Debbie Storey, and artist Lisa Hawker.
The project has already earned top marks by clinching an Awards for All lottery grant and is supported by Discount Supplies, of Canvey, which helped out with bricks and other materials.
It aims to show pupils aged four to 11 not only that maths is fun, but also how it relates to everyday life, technology and design.
