There was an Easter race with a difference for youngsters in the foyer of a south Essex supermarket.

Centre of attention was a 5ft-long racing table adorned with six colourful jumping toy rabbits in the foyer of Asda, in Queen Elizabeth II Square, South Woodham Ferrers.

Checkpoint operator Doreen O'Sullivan said: "The children chose the rabbit they liked the most, I called out ready, steady, go and the rabbits started bouncing to the other end of the table.

"The kids loved it. They screamed out the names of their rabbits."

The child with the fastest bunny was presented with a big chocolate egg.
