The Harwich foot ferry is set to take to the water again this Easter.
The Harwich-Felixstowe-Shotley ferry will be relaunched on Good Friday and will run a special service throughout the four-day Easter period.
After that, it will run on Saturdays and Sundays only up to May 4, after which time there will be a seven-day-a-week service until September 15.
The service is run by David and Bridget Baines, of Baines Boats, in partnership with Essex and Suffolk county councils.
Stephen Castle, cabinet member for Essex, said: "We are pleased to be able to work in partnership with our neighbours to provide support for this valuable service, which benefits the people of Essex and Suffolk as well as tourists to the area."
