Holiday bosses in Tendring were today basking in glory after discovering that three of its golden beaches have scooped prestigious seaside awards.
The successful trio of Clacton West, Brightlingsea and Dovercourt will be flying the distinctive blue and yellow flag once again this year boasting clean sands and supreme facilities.
The sought-after seaside award comes from Encams, organisers of the Keep Britain Tidy Campaign.
Kevin Harkin, acting head of leisure at Tendring Council, said everyone was delighted with the news.
"It could not come at a better time just a day or so before the Easter weekend when, hopefully, if the weather stays fine there will be plenty of people in the district to enjoy the beaches and facilities," he said.
