A call has been made to blood donors in Brentwood, Billericay, Wickford, Ongar and Harold who have not given in the past four months to help save lives over the Easter weekend.
The clinic at the National Blood Service (NBS) Centre in Crescent Drive, Brentwood will be open over on April 17, 20 and 22 for people to come and give blood.
Communications Officer for the NBS in the Anglia region, Ruth Greenaway, said: Please give the gift of life this Easter and give blood.
"It is essential that platelet stocks are kept up so patients can receive the care they need.
"If you are going away at Easter for the four days why not try and see us before the holiday or on the Tuesday after."
