Thirty-six members from Thorpe Hall,contested the April Midweek medal.
Bill Preedy won with a net 71 off a handicap of three and is now cut to two.
Technically he won on countback from cadet Matt Southgate, who is off six, but as a cadet is not allowed to win.
It does show, however, the continuing improvement of the Thorpe Hall cadets.
Second place went to Kevin O'Ryan with a net 72 off 17.
More than 50 members played in the Hospital Cup charity competition.
The winner was Neil Johns with a net 69 off 15 and runner-up was Cliff Haylock with 71 off 11, on countback from Bruce Turner and Derek Bush.
The Harries Trophies, a fourball stableford competition, was played on Sunday and the winners were John Benjamin and John Pearman with an impressive 46 points.
Tony Dixon and Peter Austin were runners-up with 41.
