Basildon's Adventure Playground for people with special needs has received a makeover, thanks to kindhearted volunteers.
Helpers aged between 16 and 23 carried out the clean-up at The Fryth as part of their Prince's Trust Volunteer programme. They painted walls, preserved a wooden play area, paved another and planted a new sensory garden.
The playground is used by 150 children with special needs.
To pay for materials, the volunteers organised a bag packing day at Asda, Pipps Hill, and raised £331.
