He was tailed by Anglia TV cameras as he introduced Essex County Council chairman Tony Peel to the borough's major landmarks.

The visit was for a forthcoming television programme to be broadcast on Tuesday, May 6, exploring Mr Smith's unique dual role as mayor and head of the Gypsy Council.
The first day's filming featured him giving Mr Peel a guided tour of the area.
Next Wednesday the cameras will film Mr Smith at work at the Gypsy Council offices in Aveley and may also go with him to visit a gipsy site.
