Thieves have stolen a 3ft-high Lego mouse from a children's nursery.

The mouse's disappearance has left the young children upset and the owner has appealed for help to track down the Lego sculpture.

Thieves targeted Kids and Co Childcare Nursery, in Grove Road, Tiptree, over the weekend.

They broke through the gates to steal the mouse which is kept outside. It is made up from standard Lego bricks which have been glued together.

Amanda Sheridan, owner of Kids and Co, appealed for the mouse to be returned.

Anyone with information should contact Colchester police on 01206 762212.
