Billericay police have renewed their plea for youngsters to tell them what they want to do in the summer holidays.
They are keen to help schoolchildren - and keep them out of trouble - by staging a series of events during the break.
Community liaison officer PC Julie Dawes handed out more than 2,000 questionnaires to pupils at Mayflower High School, Stock Road, and Billericay School, School Road. But she received only 42 replies.
PC Dawes appealed to pupils to have a think and drop in at the police station with their ideas.
She added: "We would also like to hear from local businesses willing to lend us a hand."
PC Dawes can be reached by phone on 01277 631212.
