Thanks in the form of £300 was given to Basildon Hospital's renal unit by a group of wild west actors.
The Gunsmoke Show Team travel the country performing their 'good versus bad' stage act to raise funds for charity.
The team, whose ages range from 16 to 70, decided to help the hospital's renal unit after one of its longest serving members began receiving treatment there for kidney failure.
Gunsmoke member Ted Putte, 70, of Witchards, Basildon, said: "The renal unit are a great crowd."
