Victims of crime and anti-social behaviour will soon be able to borrow video and stills cameras to help them crack down on crime after community safety measures were passed by a panel.
Interlock Northland Park's appraisal panel, made up of residents and services in the area, passed a whole raft of community safety measures including plans to recruit community wardens and provide four video and stills cameras, worth around £5,000.
Amateur sleuths will now be able to record footage of gang ringleaders and other yobs in action, which can then be used as evidence in court.
