Sarah Ainsworth, from South East Essex College, recently won the individual competition at the National Trampolining Championships, held at Loughborough University.
Overall the College team came second, just being pipped to first place by Taunton College for the national title by only 1.4 points.
The first time the girls had ever entered a tournament was at the Eastern Regional Championships, where they won the accolade of overall champions of the event, and Sarah Ainsworth, also took the best individual category.
This secured their place at the National Championships.
The students are all on different courses at the College: Debbie Monk is a second year BTEC National Diploma Advanced Sport and Exercise Science student, and Stephanie Hoyle is doing the ITEC Beauty Specialist Diploma.
Sarah Ainsworth is studying a BND in Photography, and Kirby Powell is taking a BND in Computer Studies.
Team Manager, Dean Wells, was delighted with their success and said: "It is quite an amazing achievement by the four competitors and one the College is extremely proud of."
