Young skateboard enthusiasts are eagerly awaiting the opening of the district's new skateparks.
Developers will start work on skateparks in Braintree and Witham in less than two weeks.
Now all construction details have been finalised work starts in Braintree's Weavers Park on April 28 and in Spa Road, Witham, on May 5.
And both parks should be open in time for the school summer holidays, towards the end of June or the beginning of July.
Braintree Council chair yesterday Kathie Tearle revealed the new skatepark signs.
Skate boarders and BMX bikers from Braintree attended a meeting at the council offices in Bocking End to find out about the Weavers Park site and how it will be run.
Several people have already signed up to join a membership club for the park which will work with the council to design signs for the park and give their views on park rules.
James Dollin, 13, of Church Hall Road, said: "It's taken a couple of years to get a skatepark but I think there's a lot of people in Braintree who will use it."
A similar meeting for the Witham skatepark will be held in the conference room of the town hall, Newland Street, at 6.30pm on Thursday, April 24
