Cyclists of all ages are being asked to get on their bikes for the popular annual Little Haven Bike ride in Chelmsford, which is taking place on Sunday, May 11.
Last year more than 400 people took part in the event and raised a grand total of £6,000 for the charity. It is hoped this year's event, organised by Little Haven in conjunction with the Chelmer Cycling Club, will be a record breaker to provide even more support to the hospice.
The event, sponsored by M&G Investments, is supported by the Essex Chronicle Series, High Chelmer Shopping Centre and Chelmsford Town Centre management team.
Also involved are the Chelmsford Environment Partnership, Chelmsford Friends of Little Haven, Essex Raynet, the Cozmic Riders Motorcycle Club and St John Ambulance.
The event incorporates rides of 50 miles, 25 miles and 10 miles plus a parent and toddler ride on cyclepaths next to the river. All the rides start and finish in Market Square, Chelmsford.
The aim is for everyone to have an enjoyable day and enjoy the delights of the countryside while raising funds through sponsorship for Little Haven Children's Hospice.
