An error-strewn encounter went the way of champions Romford as Rochford Hundred eventually capitulated 39-7 to a pacy, direct-running side after holding their own for large portions of the match.
Winger Chris Knight sped through half the promoted side's team to score Rochford's try under the posts, with Mark Sexton converting, but a penalty that would have given them a 10-8 lead was missed and Romford then pulled away in the second half.
Hundred's can get their hands on some silverware on Saturday week when they take on Brentwood in the Essex Cup final.
