A woman passenger was left with neck injuries following a two-car smash on a busy M25 slip road on Saturday.
The pair collided with one another while queuing at the bottom of the slip road at junction 30, where the motorway meets the A13. The woman also suffered abdominal injuries when the Vauxhall Corsa she was travelling in collided with a Ford Focus at around midday.
She was treated by paramedics at the scene.
The smash caused traffic chaos on a busy Saturday afternoon, with shoppers travelling to the nearby Lakeside shopping centre facing long delays with traffic tailing back along the M25 to the A127 junction.
A spokesman for Laindon traffic policing unit said: "This was a minor accident which resulted in minor injuries to a passenger in one of the vehicles."
Following the collision, one of the cars hit a nearby crash barrier, causing it to be damaged.
