A man was left with a broken arm after he was robbed for his mobile hone.
The 32-year-old from Braintree, was jumped on by three men as he walked down Coggeshall Road, Braintree, just after midnight on Saturday .
He was using his mobile phone to text a friend, when the attack happened.
He was punched and kicked repeatedly.
He was then dragged along the ground, but managed to get away for a matter of seconds before the trio caught up with him and launched another attack.
They then stole his mobile phone and £30 in cash. He was left with severe bruises to his arms and knees and the fracture to his arm.
All of the attackers were white and in their late 20s to early 30s. One was slim build, with short dark hair and 5ft 9ins tall. He wore a dark bomber jacket.
Another was of stocky build, with short dark shaven hair. He was wearing a leather jacket and had a gold tooth.
The third suspect was in his late 20s, had short mousy hair and was wearing a dark jacket.
