Harwich and Dovercourt's town centre manager has resigned just two months after taking the job.
John Senior is to leave his post he took over from Tony Whitmarsh in February. His replacement has already been found, but not yet revealed.
Mr Senior said: "I am very sad to be going after probably adding something, but not as much as I had hoped to be able to do. But for personal, family reasons, I think it's best I don't delay the handover to somebody else."
Colin Crawford, chairman of the town centre management committee, said a replacement had already been found, but had yet to be officially announced.
Lesley Chambers, who has been working alongside the town centre manager, will remain.
Mr Crawford added: "When you get this part-time job you have to accept somebody may get a full-time job they want and that's always the understanding."
The town centre manager's role is to oversee events and promote the town.
Mr Senior, 54, previously worked at the Millennium Dome.
