Believers of different faiths will be celebrating Easter together in a spread of festivals organised by the Holy Trinity Shared Church in South Woodham Ferrers.
Methodists, Anglicans and Catholics will share in a Christian experience of the Jewish Passover meal on Maundy Thursday, April 17, at the church in the town centre.
Priest Paul Haworth said: "For some people, interdenominational services can be a bit challenging.
"There are differences between us in all sorts of ways, but we have to build a society with people that don't agree on everything.
"It is about what unites us and not what divides us - that is the message."
For the first time, members of the church will be exploring the traditions of the Passover festival, of particular significance to Christians because of its link to events in the night before the death of Jesus.
